Orban Swimming In Pool Of Controversies

Gift Orban may be back scoring goals again, but he is also not far away from controversies.

His teammates at Belgian club Gent are far from happy with him, while his fellow striker has accused him of playing for himself, another complained he cannot be controlled.

Co-striker Tarik Tissoudali has been picked out for being selfish in front of goal to the detriment of Gift Orban, according to scorenigeria report.

“I haven’t discussed it with him, but I think Gift understands that. He is like that himself: someone who only wants to score,” he defended himself.

Another teammate, Julien De Start, said Gift Orban is his own man.

“No one has influence on him, I think. That is also the great thing about football, that you have to bring together different football players with different mindsets in one team. That is not always easy,” De Sart told HLN.

“Luckily we have a good group that is cohesive. Although of course you have ups and downs. The most important thing is that all players understand that the group is the most important. Gift still has to gain experience and learn lessons. But he is still young.”

Gift Orban second hat-trick in the UEFA Conference League Thursday meant he has now netted two hat-tricks in this competition and he is joint leading scorer with four goals.

His treble in Iceland also crowned him the Conference League Player of the Week.
